1. About Us
RP Installations provides professional electrical services to domestic and commercial customers throughout Herefordshire, Monmouthshire and the surrounding areas.
For legal purposes the business operates as:
Paul Brooksbank & Ben Stollery t/a R P Installations
2. Quotations
All quotations are provided free of charge unless otherwise agreed.
Quotations remain valid for 30 days from the date issued unless otherwise stated.
Acceptance of a quotation may be given by email, written confirmation or verbal agreement where appropriate.
Any changes requested after acceptance may require a revised quotation.
3. Scope of Work
Our quotation details the work included within the agreed price.
Any additional work requested outside the original scope may incur additional charges, which will be discussed and agreed before commencement.
4. Access to the Property
The customer agrees to provide reasonable access to the property during agreed working hours.
Where access cannot be provided or appointments are missed, additional charges may apply.
5. Customer Responsibilities
The customer is responsible for:
- Providing safe access to the property.
- Informing us of any known hazards.
- Ensuring utilities are available where required.
- Removing or protecting valuable belongings where practical.
6. Payment Terms
Payment is due upon the satisfactory completion of the work, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Invoices may be paid by:
- Bank Transfer (BACS)
- Cash
- Debit Card
- Credit Card
Late payments may result in statutory interest and recovery costs where applicable under UK legislation.
7. Materials
Unless otherwise agreed, materials remain the property of RP Installations until payment has been received in full.
We reserve the right to substitute equivalent products where necessary due to supplier availability.
8. Delays Beyond Our Control
We shall not be liable for delays caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control including but not limited to:
- Severe weather
- Supply chain shortages
- Illness
- Power outages
- Emergency call-outs
- Acts of God
We will make every reasonable effort to minimise delays.
9. Guarantees
All workmanship is carried out to a professional standard and in accordance with current UK electrical regulations applicable at the time of installation.
Manufacturer warranties remain subject to the manufacturer’s own terms and conditions.
10. Certification
Where applicable, electrical certificates and documentation will be issued following completion of the work in accordance with current regulations.
11. Customer Cancellations
If work is cancelled before commencement, no cancellation charge will normally apply unless special-order materials have already been purchased or significant preparation has taken place.
Where bespoke materials have been ordered specifically for a project, the customer may remain liable for those costs.
12. Complaints Policy
RP Installations always endeavours to provide the highest standard of service. However, there may be occasions when a customer is not completely satisfied.
To help us put things right, please inspect the work as soon as reasonably possible after completion and contact us promptly if you have any concerns. You can contact us by:

If contacting us by post, we recommend obtaining proof of posting.
Our complaints procedure
On receipt of your complaint, we aim to respond within five days.
Where an inspection or remedial work is required, we will arrange a convenient appointment and aim to inspect and/or remedy the situation within 28 days.
We will keep written records of the complaint, our communications with you and any resolution agreed.
Alternative Dispute Resolution
If we are unable to resolve your complaint after our internal complaints procedure has been exhausted, and both parties agree that a deadlock has been reached, you may be able to refer the complaint to an Alternative Dispute Resolution service.
RP Installations has access to Alternative Dispute Resolution for eligible domestic installation, service, repair and maintenance contracts through its Which? Trusted Traders endorsement.

13. Liability
Nothing within these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or any liability which cannot legally be excluded.
Subject to this, our total liability shall not exceed the value of the contract under which the claim arises.
We shall not be liable for indirect or consequential losses.
14. Privacy
Any personal information supplied to us will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable UK data protection legislation.
15. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
